Spring Equinox - Turning the Wheel

Happy Spring Equinox, 2026! What small (or big) thing will you do today or this weekend to welcome the energy of Spring? Here’s my “turning of the wheel” incantation that I did this morning outside:

Winter’s breath, now soft and slow,
Release your hold, let green things grow.
Frost and shadow, fade from sight,
Make way for warmth, for bloom, for light.

By root and rain, by sun and seed,
I call the spring in word and deed.
Awaken earth from slumber deep,
Stir every bud from winter’s sleep.

Petal rising, sap that sings,
Dance anew on tender wings.
Life returning, wild and free,
Flowing through the land—and me.

By wind that shifts and soil that wakes,
By every dawn the new sun makes,
I turn the wheel, the season spins—
Spring now stirs, and life begins.
