About the Herbalist
I'm Rhoswen Tempestas—Herbalist, Threshold Walker, and Keeper of the Turning Wheel—and I'm delighted you've found your way to my cauldron.
My journey with herbs began long before I ever considered turning it into a business. As a child, I learned by watching and listening to my grandmother, whose knowledge of plants and natural remedies sparked a lifelong fascination with the healing gifts of the earth. Over the years, that curiosity deepened into dedicated study, leading me to explore not only traditional herbalism but also adaptogens, medicinal mushrooms, and modern research into plant-based wellness.
Every blend I create is crafted with intention, care, and a respect for both tradition and science. Whenever possible, I use organic ingredients, and I strive to formulate products based on both historical herbal wisdom and current research.
Sustainability is also important to me. Our sipping tea bags are fully compostable, and our bath tea bags are reusable, helping to reduce waste and lessen our impact on Mother Earth.
Unlike mass-produced products that sit on shelves for months, each tea blend is handcrafted when you place your order. This ensures freshness, potency, and a personal touch in every package. It also allows me to accommodate certain ingredient substitutions for customers with herbal sensitivities or allergies whenever possible. I intentionally do not offer bulk loose-leaf teas, as I have found that individually measured tea bags provide greater consistency and reliability from cup to cup.
While I am not a medical doctor and do not claim that my products diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any illness, I believe there is value in the relationship between humans and plants—a relationship that has existed for as long as we have walked this earth. My goal is simply to share that connection through thoughtfully crafted herbal creations.
I am currently pursuing my Herbalist Certification and hold a Certificate of Training from the California Food Handlers Course.
